Ann, a former Silicon Valley corporate attorney and current CEO, launched MentorLead in 2005 to bridge the gap between culture and strategy. Her vision has empowered clients like Kaiser Permanente, Stanford, and Cedars Sinai to build agile, goal-driven workforces. Recognized as an Outstanding Business Woman of the Year by ABWA and awarded the Vanguard Award by McGraw-Hill, Ann has inspired audiences through her books and speaking engagements. She is also an avid cyclist, completing long-distance rides such as San Francisco to San Diego and Banff to Yellowstone, embodying her commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons.
Lue Hagerty
Director of Operations
Lue brings a dynamic perspective to MentorLead, with a career in healthcare and business management. As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, she managed cardiac rehab units and supported heart transplant teams. As a National Account Manager, she helped displaced families secure housing after disasters, coordinating with insurance companies. Lue’s empathy and commitment drive her leadership in mentoring programs. An avid runner and marathoner, she coaches Girls On the Run, empowering young girls through running. In her spare time, Lue enjoys tropical travel with her family and playing with her dog.
Meg Moore RN, BSN, BA
Client Success Strategist
Meg Moore, RN, holds degrees in Psychology from Auburn University and Nursing from UAB. At UAB, she created the first Student Nurse Mentor Program and led the Student Nursing Association. Starting her career in the Heart and Lung Transplant ICU at UAB Hospital, Meg discovered her passion for mentoring. She later gained administrative experience at Yale New Haven Hospital. Outside of nursing, Meg enjoys home renovation, craftsmanship, and cooking for her family. Her dedication to mentorship and program development equips her to help you establish a successful mentorship program.
Julie Cole MSN, RN, NPD-BC
Nursing Professional Development Specialist
Julie Cole, MSN, RN, is a dedicated nursing professional with a Master’s in Nursing Education from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from St. Anselm College. She is also a graduate of the Comprehensive Instructor Workshop, Center for Medical Simulation at Harvard. With over 16 years of experience as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, she has developed and managed programs such as the Transition to Practice Program and a hospital-based Simulation Center. Julie is board-certified in Nursing Professional Development and has contributed to the field through presentations at conferences and served as a chapter reviewer for the ANPD Core Curriculum. Passionate about mentoring nursing students and professionals, she also enjoys traveling with her family and exploring nature. Outside of nursing, Julie enjoys traveling with her family and spending time in nature with her dog.
April DeCastro, BSN, RN
Mentorship Pathway Coordinator


April DeCastro is a dedicated healthcare professional with experience in clinical operations, quality improvement, and telemedicine training. April began her nursing journey at a Magnet hospital in the bone marrow transplant unit. The incredible mentorship from her nurse educator and preceptor in the new grad RN program sparked her joy and solidified the importance of mentoring. She contributes the solid foundation to her nursing success to the extraordinary mentorship she received at the start of her career. Using that experience, April is committed to paying it forward, supporting future healthcare providers through education, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance patient care and operational efficiency across multiple regions. In addition to her professional accomplishments, she actively engages in various professional memberships and volunteer work, contributing to the growth and development of the healthcare industry.

April Stensgard
Healthcare Leadership Coach & Strategist
April holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Northwestern. She joined the MentorLead team in 2006 after earning her coaching certification from CTI. Passionate about developing healthcare leaders, she equips professionals through speaking, training, and coaching. Her work has impacted leaders from organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, Hennepin Healthcare, ChristianaCare, and the Association of California Nurse Leaders. April’s dedication to healthcare leadership is deeply personal, shaped by her own journey navigating her daughter’s chronic illness. This experience inspired her to found Love for Kenya, a nonprofit that partners with Kenyan nurses to provide essential medical care in a rural village.
