Ann, a former Silicon Valley corporate attorney and current CEO, launched MentorLead in 2005 to bridge the gap between culture and strategy. Her vision has empowered clients like Kaiser Permanente, Stanford, and Cedars Sinai to build agile, goal-driven workforces. Recognized as an Outstanding Business Woman of the Year by ABWA and awarded the Vanguard Award by McGraw-Hill, Ann has inspired audiences through her books and speaking engagements. She is also an avid cyclist, completing long-distance rides such as San Francisco to San Diego and Banff to Yellowstone, embodying her commitment
to pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons.
Lue Hagerty | Director of Operations
Lue brings a dynamic perspective to MentorLead, with a career in healthcare and business management. As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, she managed cardiac rehab units and supported heart transplant teams. As a National Account Manager, she helped displaced families secure housing after disasters, coordinating with insurance companies. Lue’s empathy and commitment drive her leadership in mentoring programs. An avid runner and marathoner, she coaches Girls On the Run, empowering young girls through running. In her spare time, Lue enjoys tropical travel with her family and playing with her dog.
Meg Moore RN, BSN, BA | Client Success Strategist
Meg Moore, RN, holds degrees in Psychology from Auburn University and Nursing from UAB. At UAB, she created the first Student Nurse Mentor Program and led the Student Nursing Association. Starting her career in the Heart and Lung Transplant ICU at UAB Hospital, Meg discovered her passion for mentoring. She later gained administrative experience at Yale New Haven Hospital. Outside of nursing, Meg enjoys home renovation, craftsmanship, and cooking for her family. Her dedication to mentorship and program development equips her to help you establish a successful mentorship program.
Julie Cole MSN, RN, NPD-BC
Nursing Professional Development Specialist
Julie Cole, MSN, RN, is a dedicated nursing professional with a Master’s in Nursing Education from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from St. Anselm College. She is also a graduate of the Comprehensive Instructor Workshop, Center for Medical Simulation at Harvard. With over 16 years of experience as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, she has developed and managed programs such as the Transition to Practice Program and a hospital-based Simulation Center. Julie is board-certified in Nursing Professional Development and has contributed to the field through presentations at conferences and served as a chapter reviewer for the ANPD Core Curriculum. Passionate about mentoring nursing students and professionals, she also enjoys traveling with her family and exploring nature. Outside of nursing, Julie enjoys traveling with her family and spending time in nature with her dog.
Olivia Brooks MSN, RN, NPD-BC, NEA-BC
Director of Nursing Leadership Development
Olivia Brooks is a Nursing Professional Development Specialist and ICF-trained coach with a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University. She holds ANCC board certifications in Nursing Professional Development and Nurse Executive Leadership.
Olivia brings deep expertise in designing and advancing systemwide role-development programs. She has led initiatives in mentoring, preceptorship, shared leadership, and transition to practice programs, strengthening the confidence, competence, and leadership capacity of nurses across organizations.
Passionate about developing nurse leaders, Olivia takes a coaching-centered approach to support individuals and teams as they grow in clarity, resilience, and effectiveness. Her work is grounded in the belief that thriving leaders create healthier teams, stronger systems, and better outcomes for patients and communities.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her family.
Patty Surrette
Director of Business Development
Patty Surrette is a results-driven sales and customer success leader with over 15 years of experience accelerating business growth, strengthening client loyalty, and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams. Her career spans the technology, publishing, and education sectors, where she has consistently delivered strategic and customer-focused solutions. Patty has successfully built partnerships with global brands including Ritz-Carlton and AT&T, earning a reputation for aligning customer needs with business objectives to drive retention and satisfaction.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Patty is actively involved in her community and values giving back through volunteer efforts. She also enjoys playing tennis and spending time at the lake with her family. Patty holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Northeastern University.

Geralyn Smith is a certified Human Resources Professional (PHR) with over 25 years of experience in human resources, leadership development, and facilitation. She partners with executives and leaders to design people strategies that drive organizational performance and build strong, sustainable teams.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Personnel/Industrial Relations from Norfolk State University and a master’s degree in General Administration from Central Michigan University. Deeply committed to public service, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership DeKalb and as President of her sorority chapter. She is passionate about empowering leaders and creating inclusive environments where people can thrive.
